I came across the Hospice and Palliative Care Certification Review while searching for credible resources to prepare for this examination. I had purchased the core curriculum, which was excellent reading material, but I needed some good practice questions. After taking the sample questions on this website, I immediately felt it was a great fit for my needs. As a nurse with 20 years of experience, four of which I have spent as a nurse practitioner, I found the questions to be extremely well thought out. They challenged me to think beyond my existing knowledge base. Each question included a thorough explanation of why the correct answer was right and why the other options were not. This exam is so broad, it was hard for me to know what to expect but the lectures, practice questions and simulation exams really covered it all. I purchased the ACHPN review course last year in preparation for the exam to start studying and preparing. The course is extensive and thorough. I found it very user friendly and just overall very educational and informative. It has every topic possible and is done in a way that makes it easy to comprehend. The course provides interactive questions during the sessions that are pertinent to the topic you are reviewing. It has major points and does a great job identifying the valuable lessons needed to work in palliative and hospice care. I have enjoyed working through this course and I have found it so beneficial to my knowledge base and my learning experience. The course also provides a huge amount of CEU's as an added benefit. I believe this course is all that I need to prepare for the exam. I have really enjoyed working through this course. The test bank questions are numerous and provide a great overview of every possible topic. The price of the review course is acceptable as well. For data provided and the amount of opportunity to review and learn, it is a great value. On an added note, the response time of the team has been exceptional. If I was having an issue, I would email them and I had an answer if not the same evening it would be the next morning. I needed more time, and we were able to come up with a solution that allowed me more time to work through the program. It is very comprehensive so I recommend starting early as soon as you purchase it because it will take a while to get through the course and test bank questions. There are over 900 questions included with additional exams as well. I am going to continue to review this program to prepare myself for the exam. I highly recommend this course as a preparation for the ACHPN exam. It has been a wonderful experience working with this program and their team.
